Our Brick office offers a comprehensive array of programs and services to individuals in need of psychiatric and substance abuse treatment. We also offer a complete adolescent program which provides flexibility in treating teens for a variety of mental health issues including dual diagnosis and trauma. Our Brick location is staffed with adult, adolescent, and child psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, masters level clinicians, and licensed certified alcohol and drug counselors.

We accept most major medical insurance without a referral. Please consult our complete list of accepted insurances.

Adults dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and a variety of other common mental illnesses can receive support, guidance, treatment, and education in a safe and calming environment without the fear of judgment. We help you learn the skills you need to manage your symptoms, gain control, and cope with the daily stressors in your life.

For your convenience and specific care needs, we offer two levels of care:

  • Partial Care Program is a comprehensive 5 1/2 hour, 5 days a week program that is highly structured. The program hours are from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program is a less intensive but still highly structured program that runs for 3 hours, 3-5 days a week. This program operates on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5 p. m. to 8 p.m.

Transportation is available to qualified program attendees.

For your convenience and to best accommodate your family, work, and life demands, we offer two different program tracks:

  • AM Intensive Outpatient Program is a 3 hour, 3-5 days a week program offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clients are encouraged to choose which three nonconsecutive days they wish to attend.
  • PM Intensive Outpatient Program is a 3 hour, 3 days a week treatment, available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For those clients whose clinical care requires more services, we offer a partial care program each weekday from the hours of 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The GenPsych Ambulatory Detox Program is an outpatient model for individuals requiring detoxification from drugs and alcohol. This program is unique in that our clients are not only safely and comfortably detoxed with the assistance of medication, but they are also offered therapeutic programming to learn more about their addiction, as well as relapse prevention skills to help manage and sustain their recovery. Our educated, experienced, and compassionate staff provides support and understanding as individuals enter this initial stage of treatment. Our staff also has the knowledge and ability to engage and motivate clients during this difficult and delicate stage in the journey of their recovery. Our program allows clients to immediately put into practice the skills they learn as clients are able to return to their home environment nightly, which is where they will need to be able to implement their newly learned skills.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured therapeutic treatment that emphasizes balance between acceptance and change, and focuses on skill usage. Available to both adult and GAP programs.

This program is designed specifically for those seeking more intensive addiction care that covers multiple stages of the recovery process from detox to outpatient care.

  • Partial Care Program is a full-day, well-structured program that includes 4 hours of clinical treatment, including group therapy, individual therapy, and psychiatry. In addition to the clinical hours, adolescents also attend 2 hours of school instruction daily by State Board Certified teachers. Partial Care runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. 
  • Intensive Outpatient Program is a specially designed after-school program that runs for 3 hours, 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 3:00 pm to 6:15 p.m. This track does not include school instruction.
  • Intensive Outpatient 3-5 Day Program is a full-day program that offers 2 hours of education and 3 hours of therapy, Monday-Friday from 9 am – 2:45 pm. This program provides care for adolescents who are unable to function successfully in a school environment.

The Youth Program at GenPsych (ages 8-12) is an outpatient program offering both Partial Care treatment as well as Intensive Outpatient Programming. This program runs Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:45 pm.  Our program aims to help children struggling with various issues such as anxiety, depression, school avoidance, anger and more. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to reach these children on a more thorough level, leading to widespread change in areas such as self-esteem, behavioral issues and family dynamics.

Clients participate in both individual and group therapy while enrolled in one of our treatment programs:

  • Partial Care Program (PC): 5 days/week
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): 3-5 days/week
  • Ambulatory Detox & Halcyon: 7 days/week
  • Traditional outpatient care is also available; program times vary by location.
