GenPsych Hamilton site has moved to the new Princeton location.

The GenPsych Princeton site offers a comprehensive array of programs and services to individuals in need of psychiatric, dual diagnosis, substance abuse, and DBT treatment. We also offer a unique program designed to meet the mental health needs of active duty military personnel. For teens, we provide a comprehensive adolescent program that addresses a variety of mental health issues including dual diagnosis, substance abuse, and trauma. The Princeton location is staffed with adult, adolescent, and child psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, masters level clinicians, DBT trained therapists.

We accept most major medical insurance without a referral. Please consult our complete list of accepted insurances.

Services Available at GenPsych Princeton Site

Adults dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and a variety of other common mental illnesses can receive support, guidance, treatment, and education in a safe and calming environment without the fear of judgment. We help you learn the skills you need to manage your symptoms, gain control, and cope with the daily stressors in your life.

For your convenience and specific care needs, we offer two levels of care:

  • Partial Care Program is a comprehensive 5 1/2 hour, 5 days a week program that is highly structured. The program hours are from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program is a less intensive but still highly structured program that runs for 3 hours, 3-5 days a week. This program operates on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Transportation is available to qualified program attendees.

For your convenience and to best accommodate your family, work, and life demands, we offer two different program tracks to individuals who are experiencing substance abuse issuse with a primary mental health diagnosis:

  • AM Intensive Outpatient Program is a 3 hour, 3-5 days a week program offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clients are encouraged to choose which three nonconsecutive days they wish to attend.
  • Partial Care Program: For those clients whose clinical care requires more services, we offer a partial care program each weekday from the hours of 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured therapeutic treatment that emphasizes balance between acceptance and change, and focuses on skill usage.

The G.A.P adolescent program at GenPsych offers treatment specifically designed for the unique needs of the individual. Programming include individual, group, and family therapy, as well as regular medication management.

  • Partial Care Program is a full-day, well-structured program that includes 4 hours of clinical treatment, including group therapy, individual therapy, and psychiatry. In addition to the clinical hours, adolescents also attend 2 hours of school instruction daily by State Board Certified teachers. Partial Care runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program is a specially designed after-school program that runs for 3 hours, 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) from 3:30 pm to 6:30 p.m. This track does not include school instruction.
  • Intensive Outpatient 3-5 Day Program is a full-day program that offers 2 hours of education and 3 hours of therapy, Monday-Friday from 9 am – 3:30 pm. This program provides care for adolescents who are unable to function successfully in a school environment.

The Youth Program at GenPsych (ages 8-12) is an outpatient program offering both Partial Care treatment as well as Intensive Outpatient Programming. This program runs Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 pm.  Our program aims to help children struggling with various issues such as anxiety, depression, school avoidance, anger and more. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to reach these children on a more thorough level, leading to widespread change in areas such as self-esteem, behavioral issues and family dynamics.

The Military Program at GenPsych offers treatment specifically designed for the unique needs of active duty service members and veterans from all military branches.

We offer specialized programming that focuses on the common distresses that many of our military are faced with, such as insomnia, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anger, and feelings of isolation.

Levels of Care

Clients participate in both individual and group therapy while enrolled in one of our treatment programs:

  • Partial Care Program (PC): 5 days/week
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): 3-5 days/week

*Traditional outpatient care is also available; program times vary by location.
